Vinsaya Yoga

The popularity of vinyasa yoga (or "flow yoga") has soared over the past decade, becoming the most popular form in America! Millions of Americans now participate in a weekly studio vinyasa practice, while hundreds of thousands more take online classes.

Vinyasa calms the mind---or better yet, fills the mind, where negative thoughts might otherwise linger. It also, through the repetition of "sun salutations," provides a thorough cardiovascular workout, while improving both flexibility and mobility.

But finding a great class and a great studio to attend can be a chore in and of itself; we've all experienced those yoga classes for which we hold disdain (or at least no fondness).

Life Coaching

Whether you're new to adulting or getting ready to retire, life coaching helps you find your why and create a plan with purpose.

Yin Yoga

While “yang” yoga focuses on your muscles, yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traaditional yoga practices, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.

The practice of yin yoga is based on ancient Chinese philosophies and Taoist principles which believe there are pathways of Qi (energy) that run through our bodies. By stretching and deepening into poses, we’re opening up any blockages and releasing that energy to flow freely.
