4 Week Class Package: Wednesday Nights 6-7pm
Gentle yoga is a slower class with gentle movement, designed to help the body get out of the stress response, release tension, calm the nervous system, and restore an overall sense of balance to the body, the mind and the spirit. We’ll nurture the body with strength, flexibility, and balance poses, while showing ourselves compassion and kindness through meditation and breath work.
Appropriate for everyone – beginners and anyone looking for a slower yoga experience. Expect a light-hearted practice in a welcoming environment. Discover the yoga you didn’t know you needed.
Students will be getting up and down from the floor. Bring a yoga mat, or borrow one of ours.
Instructor: Marianna Evans
Marianna started her yoga teaching adventure in July, 2014 and hasn’t looked back. A Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) at the 500-hour level, she is also Curvy Yoga Certified and a Yoga Wellness Educator. Basically, she finds herself taking more and more yoga education that enables her to provide new methods and techniques to her students.
Her philosophy is simple, yoga is for everybody. Period. She strives to make yoga classes accessible to everyone, no matter their age, size, shape, flexibility level, or ability. If you have never taken a yoga class or simply think yoga isn’t for you, try one of Marianna’s classes. Her yoga classes are fun and geared towards teaching yoga students to expand and grow, not only in their asana, or physical practice, but also in their sense of peace and finding their place in the universe. www.mevansyoga.com
